Matthew Jauriqui
Los Angeles . Orange County | Portrait Photographer
From the moment I picked up a camera in college, I knew I had found my passion. Ironically, photography began while I was studying oil painting. I spent countless hours creating still-life paintings, captivated by the rich colors, beautiful textures, and timeless feeling that oil paints could create. Although I loved the artistic process, I discovered it was incredibly time-consuming.
Everything changed when my sister handed me her old film camera. The following semester, I enrolled in photography classes, and I was instantly hooked. Through photography, I realized something important about myself—I never want life's most meaningful moments to fade away. A photograph has the power to preserve memories, emotions, and connections that become even more valuable with time.
As I watched my own family grow and change, I came to understand that the greatest treasure in life is the people we love. Every season of life deserves to be remembered, from joyful engagements and growing families to milestone celebrations and timeless portraits. That belief is what inspires every session I photograph.
I proudly serve clients throughout Orange County and Los Angeles County, where I have lived and worked for over 20 years. I specialize in family photography, engagement photography, portrait photography, couples photography, maternity photography, and lifestyle photography, creating natural, authentic images that tell your unique story. Whether we're photographing your family at the beach, capturing your engagement in a scenic park, or creating beautiful portraits you'll treasure for generations, my goal is to provide an enjoyable experience and images that become part of your family's legacy.
If you're looking for an experienced Orange County photographer or Los Angeles photographer who values genuine connection, beautiful light, and timeless storytelling, I'd be honored to help capture the moments you'll never want to forget.
When I’m not Photographing,
Production Design
I think listening to The Beatles and The Rolling Stones is what first drew me to audio and production. I got my start mixing the worship band at my church, and from there I discovered a love for mixing rock bands, orchestras, and designing audio for musical theater.
Adventuring with my Family
I am truly blessed to have two amazing children and a beautiful wife. As I've gotten older, I've learned that not everything has to go my way. Sometimes it's better to go with the flow, and enjoy the experience with the ones you love. Those moments often become the ones you remember most.
